We ourselves are the only ones who can free ourselves from misery.

Response of the PdA Aargau to two recent articles in the Aargauer Zeitung from April 24, 2026

Dominik Schrott. Federation and democratic centralism are presented as a dialectical unity of practice. The discussion paper on the organizational form of the Party of Labour shows how central capacity for action arises from federal diversity, initiative and education, and how organization becomes a form of proletarian self-empowerment.

  1. Self-empowerment as an organizational principle
No higher being, no god, no emperor, nor tribune will save us. “To deliver ourselves from misery,
we can only do it ourselves!” – this line from the “Internationale” encapsulates the essence of communist organization: The working class liberates itself. No liberation is decreed from above. This insight shapes the Marxist understanding of the party and thus the federative structure of the Party of Labour (PdA).
